The Farm
Jayvor Dairies is a dairy farm operation based just 30km from Invercargill in Eastern Southland. Its 177 hectares are made up of Waikiwi and Dacre soil.
The cool temperate climate of Central Southland offers reliable summer rainfall and an average annual rainfall of 1,118mm.
This farm was converted to dairying in May 2014. They milk their cows through an automated centrally located 40 aside herringbone cowshed. Jayvor was awarded highly commended from Environment Southland for it’s dairy conversion design at its 2015 Environment Southland Annual Awards.
In 2016 Jayvor Dairies was the awarded the Best Financial Management Award at the Fortuna Group Annual Awards. Then in 2021, they took home the big prize, after being crowned the Supreme Winner at the Awards.
Jayvor was the Keep Me Safe Award Winner at the 2022 Fortuna Annual Awards.
