The Farm

Whakahi Dairies is a leased property 14km from Invercargill in the Woodlands district.

Combined soil types of Waikiwi and Woodlands make up the farm’s 210 hectares. Due the cool temperate climate of Southland and reliable summer rainfall Whakahi receives an average rainfall of 1,100mm.

The farm is home to 550 dairy cows. The contour is flat and is split by SH1 with an underpass for access. The farm's 40 aside herringbone shed is centrally sited with the longest cow walk being approximately 1,500 metres.
